Coalition to Oppose Trump formed, inaugural event Thursday, July 17 at 5pm

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - In response to the national “Good Trouble Lives On!” call to action July 17, the Grand Rapids Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression has united West Michigan organizations to form the Coalition To Oppose Trump.

The group will host their inaugural rally commemorating the radical history of John Lewis with speakers beginning at 5 pm at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church pastor Darryl Gaddy will kick off the lineup, along with longtime county commissioner Robert Womack.

All those joining late are asked to meet the group at Calder Plaza for additional speeches at approximately 5:45pm, and to connect with grassroots political groups to learn how you can get involved.
