On Saturday, January 17th, 2026, Palestine Solidarity welcomes the community for a panel discussion with Nida Abu Baker.

Nida Abu Baker is the daughter of Palestinian political prisoner and member of the HLF 5, Shukri Abu Baker. Nida is an activist and writer advocating for the struggle of Palestinian political prisoners. Shukri and Ghassan Elashi of the HLF 5 remain unjustly incarcerated, serving their 18th year in prison for the crime of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

While Gaza remains under siege and the Zionist occupation expands its attacks on the West Bank and Lebanon, it is imperative that we amplify the voices of our political prisoners from Beaumont Texas to occupied Palestine. Our prisoners bear the brunt of state repression and their sacrifices must drive our movement forward.
